Alexander Sheppard first introduced electronic elements to his R&B-flavored music while living in Istanbul, Turkey. With the help of his girlfriend’s laptop, a bluetooth microphone and a friend to collaborate on lyrics, Sheppard established a new direction for his project, Pageant Boys. The bones of those songs would eventually turn into his EP “Shadowboxing,” which was released on The Record Machine earlier this summer.
Today, Pageant Boys releases a music video for one of the EP’s most hypnagogic tracks, “Cellophane.”
You can catch Pageant Boys at the Outer Reaches Fest this Saturday, Sept. 30 at recordBar.
