Knuckleheads Presales: Paul Thorn and Iris DeMent
Knuckleheads just announced a couple big shows!
Hailed as the "Mark Twain of Americana," critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Paul Thorn writes stories influenced by his Tupelo, Mississippi upbringing; his father was a preacher, his uncle a former pimp, and Thorn himself was a professional boxer. Thorn will be doing a three-show mini-marathon at Knuckleheads from Friday, Aug. 9 through Sunday, Aug. 11.
His show on Friday, Aug. 9 will include support from The Nace Brothers.
On Saturday, Aug. 10, Bonnie Bishop will open the show.
Thorn will perform a Gospel Brunch on Sunday, Aug. 11.

Born the last of 14 children to a family in Arkansas, Iris DeMent is a two-time Grammy nominated singer-songwriter. DeMent started her music career in Kansas City, where she lived for nearly two decades. She has worked with artists such as John Prine, Steve Earle and Emmylou Harris, and has been called "as pure and piercing as they come" from No Depression. DeMent will be at Knuckleheads on Saturday, Nov. 2, with support from Pieta Brown!
