"Sounds of the City" is the untold story of one of the most influential cities in the history of music – Kansas City. From its vibrant jazz history in the 1920s, onto the '60s-'70s folk scene, through the ‘90s "Kansas City Sound," hip-hop roots and into today, the feature-length film takes us through the city’s role as a force in modern music.
